Kunafa Nabulsiya for Pastry Chefs

Ingredients:
2 kg Kunafa dough (shredded, for Nabulsiya)
Butter or ghee
Honey or sugar syrup
Special cheese for Nabulsiya (such as Nabulsi or mozzarella)
Crushed pistachios for garnish

 

Preparation Method:
  1. Grease a baking tray with a generous layer of butter or ghee.
  2. Spread an even layer of the shredded kunafa dough in the tray.
  3. Add the cheese on top of the kunafa layer, ensuring it covers the surface evenly.
  4. Place the tray in the oven at a low heat setting and bake until the kunafa turns golden brown.
  5. Carefully flip the kunafa onto a serving plate.
  6. Drizzle cold honey or sugar syrup over the kunafa, adjusting the amount to your preference.
  7. Garnish the top with crushed pistachios for a beautiful finish.
