Preparation Instructions:

Lightly grease the tray with a thin layer of ghee.

Spread an appropriate amount of kunafa evenly in the tray, pressing gently with the palm of your hand until it holds together.

Add the cheese, making sure it is kept slightly away from the edges of the tray to prevent it from sticking to the sides.

Place the tray over low heat at first, then increase the heat after about five minutes to ensure the kunafa sets properly.

Once the desired golden color is achieved, invert the kunafa onto a slightly larger serving tray and pour the sugar syrup over it.
